End of July.....already?????

So I did mention that I only "randomly" updated this blog, right? OK, well at least my inconsistency is consistent. Let's see, we've had Mother's Day, Leo's b-day, Leo's new job, Father's Day, 4th of July, the loss of sweet Grandma Barr, some vacation time, visits from family, and then just regular old life in between. Come 8/22, the Pea starts school at Monarch Montessori....tear!!!!:( But she's more than ready, we just have to get to that point as well. She's very proud to tell people she's "two and a half", has a baby doll named "Izbo" (short for Isabelle) who she says is "three and a half," and another baby doll named George (despite the pink outfit and girly accessories, George is a boy.) She still loves to sing her heart out, read her books, play w/ cars at the babysitter's, and eats tomatoes like they're going out of style. Spring is in the air....FINALLY!!!!!

The long, cold winter is (more or less) behind us, and boy are we taking advantage of it! We're taking as many walks as possible, stopping by parks, picking flowers, using our side walk chalk and even riding our new trike from time to time. We're having a ball...Looking forward to Easter and birthday celebrations w/ our cousins!

Here are a few pics, including a pic of the infamous broken door....Yep, she locked herself in the bathroom and our only option was to take a hammer to the door. Luckily she was patient and handled the hour in the bathroom quite well!

Yes, I know it's December....

So it's been a little while, let me catch you up.....Let's see, the Wolfe family enjoyed a surprise 40th anniversary party for my parents in Boonville. They were seriously surprised, we couldn't believe it! Friends and family came from across the state to celebrate, it was a blast!

Later that month we had some fun at the Pumpkin Patch in preparation for Halloween. We also did it up right on the holiday itself, as we chose an airline theme due to Allegra's obsession w/ airplanes! She was "Allegra the Aviator", I was a flight attendant, and Leo...DB Cooper (the infamous airplane highjacker from 1971.)

Then we enjoyed Nov., the last month we could officially say we had a 1 year old! That's right, the Pea turned 2 on 11/30/10and we celebrated a few times w/ various family members (both in KC and in Marshall.) She had such fun playing with her cousins around the holiday and her birthday, it's been a joy to watch!

Where did summer go????

It's winding down, but we're still trying to squeeze out every last moment of summer....We've attended b-day parties, alum events, festivals, play dates, and much more. Life is good when you're a toddler!

Some of the latest and greatest Allegra sayings include "Sahshee Mommy!" (aka, Sorry Mommy), "OH NO!!!!!!" (when she "accidentally" dumps her box of toys, her puzzles, etc.) and "Hiya, Mama/Dada!!!!!!" (self explanatory). Her latest favorite foods are tomatoes, bran flakes and an all time favorite is nutella w/ graham crackers. Good stuff! :)

More summer fun with the Pea!

We've been having so much fun over the last month, despite the darn heat! We've been having some fun in the fountains, visiting friends, blowing LOTS of bubbles, going to the park and letting Daddy create our own little "water park" outside when it comes time to give the plants a drink. Allegra LOVES the water!

In other news, we finally officially put the Main House on the market last week. Had our first open house and we're glad we have it behind us. Now hopefully the phone will start ringing!

We're looking forward to spending some time w/ the Wolfe family in Aug. as we have an early celebration scheduled for Mom and Dad's 40th wedding anniversary. We'll be going to Basswood Resorts for a mini-vacation and all of the Wolfe kids and grandkids will be there! I'm sure there will be pics to share from that get-away. Should be a great time!

Sure sign of summer.....

Our beautiful cherry tree is FULL! Though we certainly won't get to all of them (maybe 10%, if we're lucky), we'll be enjoying the fruit of our backyard tree's labor.....And they're bright, red and tart! Allegra enjoyed throwing them in the bowl w/ Mommy until she tried a bite, then she decided to just eat every one she picked (whether it was off the tree or from the neighbor's driveway, ewww!) She also likes using grown up items such as brooms, phones, utensils, whatever. Here she is "cleaning" the back yard and enjoying some summer fruit.....Happy June to all!

Spring time fun!

We've had so much fun w/ this beautiful weather lately.....Lots of playing outside, exploring the yard and watching the birdies and squirrels. We also spent a day at Deanna Rose Farms w/ the cousins, which ended w/ burgers at Fritz's in Crown Center! Here are some pics, they're in no real particular order! :)
